Data Engineer (Azure)

About the Company

We’re looking for an experienced Dutch-speaking freelance Data Engineer / Analytics Consultant to support a growing consultancy delivering high-impact data projects for clients in and around Amsterdam.

About the Role

You’ll work on modern cloud data platforms, helping clients turn complex data into scalable, business-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining data solutions using SQL, Python, or other relevant scripting languages
• Designing and developing Azure-based data platforms, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse
• Working with Azure data storage solutions such as Blob Storage and Data Lake
• Applying data modelling best practices to support analytics and reporting
• Developing robust ETL pipelines to transform and integrate data at scale
• Collaborating with consultants and client stakeholders to deliver real business value

Qualifications

Nice to have

• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop
• Previous consultancy or client-facing experience

• A Dutch-speaking freelancer comfortable working in client environments
• Passionate about data & analytics and modern cloud technologies
• A strong team player with clear communication skills
• Proactive, curious, and always keen to learn and share knowledge
