Founding Engineer

My client is an early stage startup building an AI native platform powered by modern LLM systems and long term memory architectures.

They are looking for a Founding Full Stack Engineer to help design and build the core platform from the ground up.

This is a high ownership role working directly with the founding team, shaping both the technical architecture and the early product experience.

What You’ll Work On

• Architect and build full stack features across an AI driven platform
• Design backend systems supporting persistent memory and long running interactions
• Build infrastructure for conversational AI workflows and data pipelines
• Develop internal tooling for reviewing and analyzing model outputs and system performance
• Work across the stack using Python, React, vector databases, and modern LLM tooling
• Partner closely with the founding team on product direction and technical architecture
• Help define engineering practices, system design standards, and early platform foundations

Ideal Background

• Strong full stack engineering experience with a backend leaning skillset
• Fluency in Python and React with experience building production systems
• Strong academic background in computer science or a closely related field
• Experience operating in high performance engineering environments, such as early stage startups or leading technology companies
• Interest or experience working with LLM systems, retrieval architectures, or conversational AI
• Strong product instincts and ability to translate user problems into technical solutions
• Builder mindset with a bias toward shipping quickly and iterating

Nice to Have

• Experience building LLM powered products
• Familiarity with vector databases or retrieval systems
• Experience building internal developer or data tooling
• Previous founding engineer or early startup experience
