Head of Field Sales - (Digital Services)

Manchester Up to £55,000 fixed plus commission Permanent

To support continued growth, a leading award-winning media agency is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team.


  • Location: Manchester or Chesterfield
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (35 hours per week)
  • Salary: Circa £45,000 – £52,000 (DOE) + OTE

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, revenue-driving professional who understands the mechanics of agency new business.

  • You will identify, qualify, and convert opportunities across our core digital services.
  • You will work closely with senior digital and delivery teams to bring high-quality opportunities through the door.
  • This role is ideal for an individual with a proven track record in a digital or advertising agency who wants to make a measurable impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Proactively generate opportunities for Digital Services (Paid Digital, SEO, Web Design, and Email Marketing).
  • Full Sales Cycle: Manage prospecting, discovery, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with Marketing Directors, Heads of Digital, and MDs.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal specialists to shape commercially viable solutions.
  • Representation: Attend networking and industry events to represent the agency.
  • Performance: Deliver against monthly/quarterly revenue targets and provide accurate forecasting.


What We’re Looking For


Essential:

  • Proven commercial/new business experience within a digital or advertising agency.
  • Strong technical understanding of digital marketing services (Paid Media, SEO, Web, Email).
  • Demonstrable track record of closing new business and growing revenue.
  • A self-starter who operates with autonomy and momentum.

Desirable:

  • Experience selling multi-service digital retainers or large-scale website projects.
  • An existing network of marketing decision-makers.
  • Experience working with mid-market or multi-location brands.
