About the Company:


We’re currently partnering with a leading digital agency in the Netherlands that is looking to appoint a Head of SEA to lead and scale its Paid Search function.

The agency works with a strong portfolio of well-known Dutch and international brands, delivering performance-led digital marketing across SEA, SEO, Paid Social, CRO and analytics. Following continued growth, they are now looking for a senior Paid Search leader to shape strategy, develop the team, and drive continued commercial success.


The Role


As Head of SEA, you’ll take full ownership of the Paid Search department, combining strategic leadership with hands-on expertise. You’ll lead a team of SEA specialists, oversee key client accounts, and work closely with senior stakeholders to drive performance, innovation and growth.

This is a key leadership role within the agency and requires someone confident operating at both strategic and operational level.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the Paid Search function, defining and executing the SEA strategy across the agency.
  • Manage, mentor and develop a team of SEA Specialists, supporting both performance and career growth.
  • Oversee large-scale Google Ads and Microsoft Ads campaigns across multiple clients.
  • Ensure campaigns consistently deliver against KPIs such as ROAS, CPA, revenue and conversion growth.
  • Drive innovation through automation, AI, smart bidding strategies and testing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with SEO, Paid Social, CRO and Data teams to deliver integrated performance strategies.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for key clients, providing strategic direction and insight.
  • Improve internal processes, reporting standards and best practice frameworks.
  • Support new business pitches and contribute to agency growth.


What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years’ experience in Paid Search / SEA, ideally within a digital or performance marketing agency.
  • Proven experience in leading or managing a Paid Search team.
  • Strong expertise across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, GA4 and conversion tracking.
  • Experience managing large budgets and delivering strong commercial results.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable strategy.
  • Experience with automation, scripts, AI tools or feed management is highly desirable.
  • Fluent Dutch is essential, alongside strong English communication skills.
