About the Opportunity


I’m working with a fast-growing data and analytics consultancy that has scaled from zero to 30+ consultants in just a few years. The business works across government, enterprise, and complex data environments, delivering highly skilled data professionals into long-term assignments.

Growth has been strong on the delivery side, but commercial capacity has not yet caught up.


The company is now hiring its first senior sales hire to take ownership of client relationships, unlock existing demand, and support further expansion into the private sector.

This is a hands-on, senior sales role with direct access to the founders and real influence over how sales is structured going forward.


The Role


You will be responsible for managing and growing client relationships while developing new business opportunities across public and private sector organisations.

Initially, the focus will be on strengthening existing accounts and surfacing assignments that already exist. Over time, the role will naturally evolve towards new client acquisition and strategic growth.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and expanding relationships with existing clients
  • Identifying and securing new assignments within current accounts
  • Developing new business across public and private sector organisations
  • Working closely with recruitment and delivery to place consultants on projects
  • Maintaining oversight of the commercial pipeline and forecasts
  • Helping shape the company’s go-to-market and sales approach


This role suits someone comfortable operating independently, with a consultative sales style and experience navigating complex buying environments.


Key Requirements

  • 4–7+ years’ commercial experience in IT services, consultancy, secondment, or IT staffing
  • Proven track record in account management and new business development
  • Experience selling into complex organisations (public sector experience is a strong advantage)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable with longer sales cycles and relationship-led sales
  • Ability to take ownership and work without heavy structure
