Senior Risk Technology Specialist

A major financial services client is kicking off a multi-year rebuild of its risk technology stack, focused on traded products and front-office risk. They’re hiring two senior profiles to play a key role in redesigning how market and counterparty risk is calculated, surfaced and used by traders.

This role suits someone who sits comfortably between trading, risk and technology... someone who understands how risk really works on the desk and can help modernise the systems behind it.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

• Redesigning and rebuilding components of a core risk technology platform
• Working across market risk, counterparty credit risk and liquidity risk
• Supporting the full trade lifecycle - from trade capture through exposure, limits and capital impact
• Partnering closely with traders, risk managers and technologists
• Translating risk outputs into insights that traders trust and act on
• Contributing to a broader modernisation programme across data, analytics and risk engines

💡 What You’ll Bring

• 4–8 years’ experience in investment banking, trading, risk, or risk technology
• Strong understanding of traded products (derivatives, short-duration trading)
• Solid grounding in market risk, CCR and/or liquidity risk
• Comfortable engaging directly with traders
• Strong technical understanding of low-latency systems, data flows, reporting or analytics
• Experience working with risk engines or modern data platforms (cloud-native exposure a plus)
• Confident, analytical, and credible with senior stakeholders
