Technical Lead

Our client, a fast-growing SaaS business is seeking a hands-on Technical Team Lead to help shape the future of a market-leading platform used by major UK organisations.

As Technical Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role across engineering, architecture, product, and delivery. You'll provide technical direction, influence product strategy, mentor engineers, and remain actively involved in software development and architectural decision-making.

The Role

• Lead the design, development, and evolution of the platform's technical architecture
• Define and influence decisions around technology stack, infrastructure, frameworks, and integrations
• Work closely with Product and wider business stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic objectives
• Provide hands-on leadership through coding, code reviews, and technical guidance
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a high-performance engineering culture
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
• Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, security, and scalability
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to continuous technical innovation

About You

We're looking for an experienced technical leader who combines strong architectural capability with a hands-on engineering background.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience designing and scaling B2B SaaS platforms
• Strong full-stack development expertise, particularly with C#, .NET, JavaScript, and React
• Experience building and integrating APIs and third-party systems
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
• Experience working with modern distributed systems and scalable architectures
• The ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams
• A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and technical decision-making
• Previous experience mentoring or leading software engineers
