A fast-growing tech scale-up is transforming mobile connectivity with its freemium global eSIM service — giving people basic data access for free in over 120 countries, and affordable high-speed upgrades when they need more. As they scale across Europe and beyond, they’re hiring a Senior Backend Developer to help architect, optimise, and scale the systems powering this global platform.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Enhance and extend a GraphQL API serving mobile, web, and internal tools
• Integrate with telecom systems, payment gateways, and CRM platforms
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams to deliver impactful features
• Champion clean code, test-driven development, and observability at scale

About you

• 5+ years backend experience in Node.js/TypeScript
• Strong API design experience (GraphQL preferred)
• Skilled in cloud-native infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Bonus: telecom, travel tech, or high-scale consumer platform experience
• Passion for building robust, high-performance backend systems
